Project 365 2009
I’m joining in with Project 365 this year. Yay!
Ambitious, knowing my health, especially since it’s taken me this long to publish the photos I’ve already taken…
But it’s a bit of fun, and I’m sure I’ll learn heaps about being creative and using my camera along the way. - Even if it is a cheapie.
Maybe I’ll get really involved and buy a better snapper for next year!
I’d thought about starting to post daily snapshots back in June or July, but decided that with everything going on it might be best to wait until this year, when both the kidz will be in school (*sob*).
My daily photo posts are a part of the Kidzarama blog, but appear in a separate section, with a link from the right column here.
Tricky, but you can do that sort of thing if you know a bit about the coding.
Let me know if you’re joining in the fun, & we can laugh together at how lame our shots are!

No Chestnuts, but…
This is my favourite part of Winter.
A roaring fire burning in the lounge room, the kids tucked up in bed and sound asleep and no television.
WonderHubby & are I curled up on the lounge, with a rug wrapped around us, a nice hot cup of tea and a good book each to read.
And it’s sooooo peaceful.

FPFF ~ A Space to Sit and Think
Everyone needs somewhere that’s theirs alone to sit and think.
I haven’t really had one for a long time, say about seven and a half years.
But this is my armchair. I curl up here under my blogging rug, with my journal and pen and write out my thoughts, obsessively.
I kind of worry that if I don’t, my head might explode.
Sometimes they end up here on Kidzarama, when I’m particularly impressed by my own cleverness.
I love this chair. It was a freebie from a friend who’d bought a new lounge suite, and long broken~in.
Read “comfortable”.
In Winter, the afternoon sun streams in on me and sends me into a doze.
Are you all jealous yet?
Stop moaning and go visit Carrie, for more of this week’s Phantastic Phriday Photos.

Digi~Scrapbooking Giveaway Winner
Well, it’s been a busy, interesting week here at the UpsideDownHouse.
We’ve had hosting nightmares, a blog makeover going on in the background, a little visitor (who was a pain in the hooha), the June Kraft for Kidz blog carnival, and some freaky parenting photos in my inbox.
Hopefully, our hosting nightmares are over for now.
Although due to the lack of support we got from our current hosts, we are definitely on the lookout for new ‘premises’.
If you can heartily recommend a hosting service with A1 support, please drop me an email…
And now to the reason you’ve all tuned in today…
The drawing of the digi~scrapbooking giveaway winner, who will also be the subject of a devoted and loving linkfest blog review from yours truly later on this week.
Firstly, thank you to everyone who got involved and sent in a snap and made this such a fun event for the kidz!
Wren and Mr Bump quite enjoyed the judging event. I’ll have to get them some special judging hats for next time. Unfortunately I didn’t have the camera charged and ready to catch their expressions, but I promise to be much better prepared next time.
Choosing a winner for the competition was a tough pick for our distinguished judges, but in the end it was this picture that had them in fits of giggles…
Little Bethany here is learning the hard way about why we don’t eat sand. This is, of course, a very familiar sight to just about every parent on the planet.
Her mother Tracey says that “For a few weeks we tried desperately to keep up with her and stop her from putting it in her mouth. She finally wore us out.”
So now Tracey, you have a task:
You need to visit Designs by Krista to make your choice from the many beautiful digital scrapbooking kits she has available!
Good luck, because it will be tough choosing I think…
How We Relax At Our House
This is how we relax at our house.
We’re too poor to afford furniture for the children, so they’re forced to recline in washing baskets, wearing frilly pink tutu’s.
Mr Bump’s basket recliner is green, because that’s his favourite colour, while Wren prefers to lounge in her blue one.
Tutu’s are provided by Thrift Shops R Us, and are available in a range of sizes and colours for children and adults.
You should see WonderHubby in his.
