Fuzzy Photos and Family Time
Thank you to everyone who called in to say hello while we were away. We’re back now, and we had a wonderful time.
Unfortunately, Disney don’t want me to share my incredibly cool photography of their ice extravaganza…
However, after much discussion, they have allowed me to share one of my more artistic photos of the night. I call it “lights on ice”. I’m sure the sublime creativity will transport you to another world.
Part of those discussions involved them asking me to become their official photographer. I had to say no, though, because it would mean giving up my blogging. And you know nothing beats the joy of blogging.
Wren & Mr Bump had the most amazing time. We saw Mickey & friends (of course), plus Ariel, the Lion King, Lilo & Stitch and another 2 or 3 that I can’t remember at the moment.
But the best part of the show was definitely Peter Pan. They brought a huge ship onto the ice that separated into 3 parts, and the kids loved it.
Naturally, Mr Bump needed to go to the loo in the middle of this section. So I jogged down the stairs with him on my hip, so that he could still see the show a bit on our way you~know~where.
Once we could no longer see the ice, I sprinted towards the ladies, turned a corner on two wheels and nearly mowed down two of Captain Hook’s pirates.
Luckily, they were fixated on capturing Wendy, so we were able to duck into a side passage and escaped with no more than a leer and a wink as they hobbled by.
It was the highlight of the evening!
I haven’t been winked at by a long~haired, bearded, eye~patched, gap~toothed man in ever so long.
Although I have to admit that it may have been Mr Bump whom they were winking at.
Maybe I only received a leer.
Anzac Biscuits Recipe
Since it’s Anzac Day, we’ll be baking up a batch of Anzac Bickies today.
I had planned to add a photo once they were done, but I got so caught up in eating cooking them, that I just plain forgot.
This is my Mum’s recipe & it’s super-yum, so I hope you’ll give it a try and let me know what you think.
