Chalky the Guinea Pig
Just use your imagination, okay?
Our son is very talented and we want to keep our illusions about that intact.
Plus, my mother always told me that if you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything.
So it’s a guinea pig, because Mr Bump said so.
And if you can find something nice to say, we’d really really appreciate it.
Seriously.

Book Cover Craft
Wren’s class made these great artworks with watercolours and crayons to cover their school books.
First they painted a yellow wash with watercolours and left it to dry.
The next day, they drew a design in pencil and went over it with red and orange crayons.
Then the artwork and the school books came home to me and I covered them and wrote each child’s name onto the cover with a black permanent marker.
The children were very proud of their creative work, and being able to use the results in a tangible way has been great for their self esteem.
Scribbler, a Cute Way to Doodle Online
Just found this fun online doodling tool that I had to share with everyone out there in webland.
It’s called Scribbler and you just doodle your own picture in the space provided and click on a few buttons to get great colourful, scribbly designs, based upon your original drawing.
Wet Chalk Drawings
This is a quick, fun idea that Mr Bump did at preschool the other day.
Just wet your chalk and store it in an airtight container with a wet sponge in the bottom. I’m not sure how long it would take for it to grow fuzz, or even if it would, so I’d advise using it up within 3 or 4 weeks.
When the kids draw with them, they get really bright colours that won’t fade back to normal chalk colours as they dry.
The effect is something like crayons, but not. ~Did that make sense?!
We’re mothers, it doesn’t have to make sense.
Just so long as you sound like you know what you’re talking about…
