Chalky the Guinea Pig

Guinea pig chalk artJust use your imagination, okay?

Our son is very talented and we want to keep our illusions about that intact.

Plus, my mother always told me that if you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything.

So it’s a guinea pig, because Mr Bump said so.

And if you can find something nice to say, we’d really really appreciate it.
Seriously.

Wet Chalk Drawings

This is a quick, fun idea that Mr Bump did at preschool the other day.

Just wet your chalk and store it in an airtight container with a wet sponge in the bottom. I’m not sure how long it would take for it to grow fuzz, or even if it would, so I’d advise using it up within 3 or 4 weeks.

When the kids draw with them, they get really bright colours that won’t fade back to normal chalk colours as they dry.

The effect is something like crayons, but not. ~Did that make sense?!

We’re mothers, it doesn’t have to make sense.

Just so long as you sound like you know what you’re talking about…
