Thanks goes to Mr Bump for this project for:
- Conception,
- Visualisation,
- Development,
- Materials requests and
- Realisation of this project.
WonderHubby deserves a thank~you for responding to aforementioned materials requests with grace and style.
And plenty of patience.
You will need:
- Cereal box
- Scissors
- Pictures for monitor
- Pictures or stickers for keyboard
- Glue
- String
- Stapler
- Small bottle or sultana box
- Sticky tape
What to do:
- Cut around the top, one side and bottom of the front of your cereal box, forming a flap that will become the monitor.
- Add pictures to decorate the screen.
- Stick on the keyboard pictures or stickers.
- Cut a length of string to use as the cord for your mouse and stick or staple one end to the back of the laptop.
- Attach the other end of the cord to the small bottle or sultana box; this is going to be the mouse.
- Decorate the laptop further if you wish.
Other thoughts:
- Mr Bump used some pebbles from his rock collection for the keyboard and PVC glue to hold them in place.
- We cut a little ‘Yakkult’ bottle in half to use for the mouse, although you can’t see it in the picture!

how cool! my son would love to make this..
thanks for the suggestion(wildpoppy) also love that name, but when you type it into a search engine..lots of wildpoppy”s..
the name i am seriously thinking about is ” matilda makes her mark”

I like it. ~ Reminds me of a book I had as a child, called “olga makes her mark” about a guinea pig
I saw an interesting one today called “rocks in my dryer”!
You could also have something like “cookie kicks back” or “rockin’ robyn” (like in the song)…
