Very glad to be home, and cuddled up next to my blogging bum.

Mr Underfoot’s Lousy Day Out

A very groggy Mr Underfoot on his way home on my lap

Poor Mr Underfoot, he’s had his nether regions shaved, a tube stuck up his whatsit and now he has to take another car trip.

What a L.O.U.S.Y. day.

Candid caMEra

me reading... erm, sleeping on the lounge

Thought I didn’t have a photo for today, because it’s been such a hectic week and I was… exhausted is a good, kid-friendly word for it.

I can think of another not-so-nice word, and it still kind-of applies today.

Apparently, someone thought it would be funny to snap me in this state.

I found the shot when I went to use the camera, and thought ‘whatthehell, why not?’

Once was enough

one day of school was enoughSo today is Mr Bump’s 5th birthday, and his second day of kindergarten.

He got up, found a couple of presents on his bed, brought them into Wren’s room, and ripped them open.

Then he went off to get dressed, and this is what he chose.

Yes, he knew it was a school day.

And yesterday’s photo proves that he knows where his uniform is kept.

So why was he not wearing it?

Because he wanted a “day off”.

School is just sooo stressful and draining.

First day of school

school yard poserfirst day of kindy - being daddy

Because today is an extra-special day, I have two photos to share with you.

Left:
Mr Bump chose his pose when I asked him to stand and smile when entering school.

He cried “Wait! Wait!” and ran over to snuggle up to the drainpipe, fergossakes!

And the pose….

Whattheheck was that about?

Right:
That’s WH’s notebook and pen in his pocket.

Mr Bump has them because he just discovered he has a pocket on his shirt like daddy.

So of course daddy put his junk in there & then had a hellofatime getting them back.

All in all, a tear-free, extremely easy morning.

Soooo different from Wren’s first day, but that’s another story.

The next lot

tiny armenian cucumber

Okay, so we might need to wait a while for this one…

Rear Window

Kitchen window / Rear window

I did take this photo to show how green our back yard has become since we started putting the washing water on it.

But as you can see, it’s more of an illustration of yet another job we have yet to do around the house.

The kitchen window was broken when we bought the house, and was first on the list for fixing, but would you believe that two different repairmen have failed to turn up?

(And then we had surgery & Christmas & I forgot to chase them)

In the current economy, wouldn’t you think that businesses would actually  want work?

That’s just my whinge.

And yes, the glass is filthy. I’m afraid to clean it in case it shatters.
Otherwise it would be spotless.

Honestly.

~ By the way, I have taken photos on most days in the last week, but I’ve misplaced my camera.

So I’m not that big a slacker. Just a little one.

It just took me a while to think of borrowing Wren’s camera, like I did today.

D’oh!

The first cucumber

our first armenian cucumber

We picked the first of our armenian cucumbers tonight and WH & I were lucky to get any!

Wren & Mr Bump ate over 3/4 of it, and it was not a small cucumber, by any means.

And talk about deeelish!
